Instructions

The SCREAM Screen Saver installer is about 522k Zipped. Download the GetScSaver.zip file from the link above.

You will need WinZip to extract the file. If you don't already have it try TUCOWS.

Unzip the file with WinZip and Run the GetScSaver.exe application.

Open your "Display" control panel (right click on the desktop and choose "Properties").

Select "Screen Saver" and choose "Scream screen saver" from the list.

Optional

If you look at the "Setting" dialog after selecting "Scream screen saver" from the list, you will see something like this.

Pressing "Escape" (top left on your keyboard) will ALWAYS close the Screen Saver.

If "Mouse move or click" and "Key Press" are checked (the default) the SCREAM Screen Saver will behave normally, but if you uncheck both, you can interact with some of the installed animations without closing the Screen Saver.

"Move to Background" will make the animation move behind any open programs but continue to animate until you click on the animation and press "Escape". This will only work if "Mouse move or click" or "Key Press" is checked.

Click on "Play List" to see this dialog.

On the right you can see the animations that come with the free SCREAM Screen Saver. These are stored in your "Windows" folder in a folder called "ScSaver". If you create new animations with the SCREAM Editor, you can add them to the list by copying them into the "ScSaver" folder.

Clicking on one of the "Play List" animations will delete it from the list. Clicking on one of the "Animations" on the right will add it to the Play List.
